About Dr. Chandana Unnithan
Dr Chandana Unnithan is a Professor in Digital health & Informatics from Australia. She is an Australia delegate and member of UNCOPUOS STSC (Vienna) since 2019, a current member of the Space And Global Health network/platform (Geneva) and GeoHealth CoP run by NASA/NOAA and was . an expert advisor to WHO Technical Advisory Board. Dr. Unnithan is also the Chief Scientific Officer for a digital health firm, Lifeguard Digital Health Inc., that developed SaaS/SaMD solutions for combating the opioid emergency crisis and is saving lives. She is a member of the Standards Council Canada and Mental Health Substance Use Consortium that aims at building prevention methods for the opioid crisis. She is on the medical research advisory board of Rapid Response Revival, an Australian company that has developed the smallest personal defibrillators for sudden cardiac arrests before emergency intervention. She has a PhD in digital health and informatics from Victoria University in Australia, has published over 140 papers, and is a keynote speaker/panelist in international conferences globally.
